In today’s article, we present all the most important information about one of the places you should definitely visit if you come to NYC during the winter season.
We are talking about the Winter Village in Bryant Park.
For those who do not know, in the coldest months of the year, Bryant Park is transformed into a spectacular area where every corner you can breathe Christmas atmosphere: Christmas markets, ice rink and, from December, even a beautiful Christmas tree.
Below is the key information for your visit to Bryant Park Winter Village:
Ice Skating Rink
The rink opened on October 29 and will remain open until March 6, 2022. This is great news for anyone visiting NYC in the colder months but not exactly in December.
Skating in Bryant Park is FREE. This is the only rink in Manhattan that has no admission charge. Another great piece of news.
The only price you will have to pay is for skate rentals. This costs between $15 and $45, depending on what day and time you decide to skate. Bryant Park recommends choosing to skate early in the morning to avoid long lines and pay as little as possible for skate rentals.
If you have the option to bring your own skates, then skating at Bryant Park is absolutely free.
The opening hours of the rink are great: every day from 8am until 10pm. On Fridays and weekends, the rink stays open until 11:30 at night.
On December 31 the rink closes at 4 pm.
Holiday Shops
Bryant Park’s Holiday Shops are open daily from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Opening day, like the rink, was October 29. The Bryant Park Christmas Market will remain open until January 2, 2022.
In addition to stores where you can buy Christmas decorations, souvenirs and lots of other gift items, you will also find booths where you can buy something to eat and drink.
