Are you looking for a place to have breakfast near Bryant Park? In this article from my New York City Blog, I introduce you to six great places to enjoy a delicious breakfast within walking distance to one of my favorite spots in Midtown Manhattan: Bryant Park. In this way you will start your day in New York in the best possible way!

Just a small introduction to the question “Where is Bryant Park?” We are in Midtown Manhattan, New York, between 40th and 42nd Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues. 42nd Street Bryant Park is the closest New York City Subway stop to the park.

Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan

If you are in the Bryant Park when you visit New York, then I suggest you check out the following articles from my New York City Blog. The first one is about the Christmas Markets in Bryant Park, one of the most beautiful in all of NYC. The second is on the best pizzerias in the Times Square area.

In fact, during the Christmas season, Bryant Park transforms into a beautiful Winter Village. Here you can do lots of activities such as ice skating or shopping for Christmas gifts.

If you need help on how to get to Bryant Park and know its subway stations, then I suggest you reading the guide in my blog. Then I also recommend you read my guide on the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and the one on Saks Fifth Avenue. Both are in fact less than a 10-minute walk from Bryant Park. Also, take the opportunity to walk the streets in Midtown Manhattan till you get to the Lotte New York Palace Christmas Tree on the Madison Avenue.

Now get ready to discover my favorite places to have breakfast near Bryant Park. The very good thing is that so many of the places I’m going to tell you about (like Pret a Manger, Blue Bottle, etc.) have cafeterias spread all over NYC.

As a result, whether you are going to visit the Top of the Rock, the Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or a Broadway Show, you will always have good ideas of where to get a good coffee!

Maman Bryant Park

Address: 22 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018, United States

Maman’s first coffee shop opened in New York City in 2014. Since then, this French-born spot has become one of the most iconic places to have breakfast near Bryant Park.

The atmosphere at Maman Bryant Park is very warm and their dishes are good. This Coffee Shop is right next to the sixth avenue, a few steps away from Bryant Park.

I recommend trying their buttery croissants or sweet and savory canapés. The coffee is also very tasty and quality.

La Colombe Bryant Park

Address: 1045 6th Ave, New York, NY 10018, United States

La Colombe was founded in 1994 in Philadelphia. From there it has expanded throughout the US and especially to New York City. Here too, as at Maman Bryant Park, you will find a very welcoming atmosphere.

In Manhattan you will find 9 La Colombe coffee shops. These are scattered a bit throughout the city, some even near other NYC landmarks such as Central Park, Battery Park or the Empire State Building.

Among the specialties to try I recommend one of their artisanal pastries such as croissants, muffins or cookies. Their coffee of excellent quality and perfect to be enjoyed either in the café or take-out. If you are looking for a good place to have breakfast near Bryant Park and one of your criteria is to find good coffee, then at Colombe’s you can be on the safe side.

Pret a Manger originated in England but due to its success has expanded to many countries around the world, including the U.S. and NYC. Their concept is easy: always find something ready to eat. So, if you are looking for a place to have breakfast near Bryant Park, Pret a Manger is one of the options I recommend most.

I love their French butter brioche, always tasty and fragrant. Keep an eye on their website and social pages because they often have promotions to save money on breakfast and lunch.

You’ll find Pret a Manger at so many corners of NYC. Whether you are in the Upper East Side, Greenwich Village or Grand Central Station area, there will always be a Pret a Manger nearby.

In this list of the best places to have breakfast in the Bryant Park area, Wafels and Dinges could not be missed. This restaurant chain started in New York in 2007 and they have a fantastic kiosk at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 42nd Street.

Among the specialties I recommend you try are their Brussels waffles. Don’t forget to add your favorite “dinges” (toppings). Among these my favorites are chocolate, fruit, or whipped cream.
