A short introduction to this article about New York in March.

My name is Marco and I am the owner of Discover NYC, a tourism company in New York City. I also run My Christmas in New York – The most popular instagram page about Christmas in New York. If you haven’t yet, follow me!

Let’s now explore together what I think are the best things to do in March in New York City

ICE SKATE IN BRYANT PARK TILL MARCH 5TH 2023

Among the best skating rinks in New York City you absolutely must include the one in Bryant Park.

Of all the rinks in Midtown Manhattan, in fact, the one in Bryant Park is the only one where you don’t pay admission. In fact, skating here can be extremely advantageous from a financial standpoint. In fact, you will only pay for the rental of the skates. In contrast, at the other two famous skating rinks in Manhattan, namely Rockefeller Center and Central Park, you pay both admission and skate rental.

The Bryant Park rink will remain open until Sunday, March 5, 2023.

So take advantage of it to have the last ice skate at Bryant Park of the 2022/2023 holiday season.

Attend the 2023 NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York (17 March 2023)

New York’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a must for anyone in NYC in mid-March.

In 2023, the parade will be held on March 17, from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The parade will be on the iconic 5th Avenue and more specifically between 44th Street to 79th Street.

The parade will then march north on 5th Avenue and it is on this avenue that we recommend that you position yourself to best view it.

The best place is definitely in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. This is located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets.

However, be prepared to find lots of people on the streets. This is definitely the most popular parade in New York City during the month of March.

My favorite parade, though, is the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Appointment for 2023 set for November 23. I wrote an article with everything you need to know about the Thanksgiving Day parade. If you’d like, read it by clicking the link below.
